Brighton Weekend

A couple of weekends ago my girlfriend and I decided to spend a couple of days by the seaside, after much deliberation we eventually chose Brighton and Hove for our romantic weekend getaway.
This was my first visit to Brighton so I didn't quite know what to expect but I have to say I definitely wasn't disappointed by the views, sights and sounds of this busy little bohemian city. The very first view of the beach had me wishing I'd visited the beautiful part of England much earlier,  and the beautiful shoreline offered many opportunities to snap some amazing shots of the local wildlife.

Essex Weekend Getaway

I know I have previously spoken about the beauty of the Essex coastline, but there's more to say, much more.
Over the last weekend I had the opportunity to visit several other destinations on the Essex coast. Luckily I had great weather for my weekend break which just made a good thing better, I managed to take a few snaps to aid my simplistic
descriptions. Friday I visited Canvey Island, I'll go straight to the important bits-the scenery was breathtaking the chips golden brown and the people friendly, you can't ask for much more, I took a few snaps of the beach which hopefully captured some of its atmosphere. Saturday I visited Shoeburyness beach, such a beautiful place to while away a couple/ six hours, very picturesque it reminds me of a picture postcard scene with its brightly coloured beach huts, the word which I feel best describes Shoeburyness beach is idyllic but could literally go on for ever about this place. Sunday, Chalkwell Esplanade this is another fine example of a picture postcard being brought to life, this had a slightly more cosmopolitan feel to it as it is literally on the door step of Leigh-On-Sea which compliments the chilled out atmosphere of the esplanade beach. Leigh on sea has quaint fisherman's cottages mixed with fine dining in the many bars and restaurants scattered about village. Later in the afternoon we visited Maldon Park which just left me stunned it was like walking onto the set of a pirate movie what with it's tall masts dominating the dock and church Steeple dominating the village skyline, it's so beautiful and one afternoon really isn't enough time to explore all this place has to offer.
